Known for his strategic approach to deal structuring and partnerships, Craig Alexander provides comprehensive legal counsel to developers, investors, and property owners navigating sophisticated real estate transactions.
Craig serves as Co-Chair of the firm’s Commercial Real Estate Group, concentrating on complex commercial real estate transactions across a wide range of asset classes, including multifamily, retail, office, and industrial properties. He advises clients throughout the full lifecycle of real estate matters, from land development and zoning to financing, leasing, construction, and 1031 exchanges.
Craig represents a broad range of clients, including developers, builders, investors, commercial property owners, contractors, and lenders. He regularly advises on all phases of a transaction, from contract negotiation and due diligence through loan documentation and title closings, ensuring seamless execution and strategic guidance at every stage.
With experience representing all parties in the real estate spectrum, Craig counsels sellers and buyers, landlords and tenants, as well as lenders and borrowers. His practice is particularly focused on commercial lending, real estate acquisitions, development and disposition, and leasing, allowing him to deliver practical, business-oriented solutions tailored to each client’s objectives.
Craig is the Past President of the Mental Health Association of Essex and Morris, Inc. (www.mhainspire.org) and is a long-standing member of its Board of Directors. The mission of the Mental Health Association is to promote mental health, including the integration of physical healthcare, to improve the care and treatment of individuals with mental illness, and to remove the stigma associated with emotional and mental disorders.

- Represented a developer in closing a multi-million dollar bank loan to fund the construction of a 35 unit luxury town house project at Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey. The firm also represented the developer with regards to development approvals and deal structuring issues.
- Represented a developer in connection with the acquisition of property in Passaic County, New Jersey which has been approved for a 36 unit multi-family development. Craig represented the developer in connection with the acquisition of the property and in closing the construction loan. The firm’s land use department represented the developer before the local planning board and in negotiating the developer’s agreement with the municipality.
- Closed a multi-million dollar refinance of a Walgreens anchored retail center in Essex County, New Jersey. Craig had previously represented the owners in connection with the acquisition of the property and the construction of the retail center.
- Represented a prominent developer in the acquisition of property located in Morris County, New Jersey that has been approved to be developed with a retail center anchored by Whole Foods.
- Completed the representation of a private builder in connection with the development and sale of a four-lot single family development in Essex County.
