Samantha C. Fasanello brings deep trial and investigative experience to her representation of individuals and businesses in white collar defense, government investigations, and complex commercial disputes.
Samantha Fasanello is a Partner in the Firm’s White Collar and Criminal Defense, Litigation, Healthcare, and Appellate Advocacy Practice Groups. She’s a former federal prosecutor and experienced trial attorney whose practice focuses on white collar criminal defense, internal and government investigations, and complex commercial litigation. At the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Samantha personally investigated and prosecuted well over 100 matters and supervised hundreds of others, ranging from RICO prosecutions to fraud schemes. As a prosecutor, Samantha collaborated with law enforcement and regulatory agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Securities and Exchange Commission, among others, to build investigations and prosecute violations of federal criminal law.
Samantha represents individuals and corporate entities in complex criminal matters, government and regulatory investigations, and commercial disputes, leveraging her experience as a federal prosecutor to spot weaknesses and develop strong arguments to support her clients’ positions. She is well-equipped to assist clients faced with federal and state criminal charges, grand jury investigations, and regulatory investigations, as well as respond to subpoenas and requests for information.
Early in her career, Samantha worked at a prominent New Jersey litigation boutique, where she defended clients in connection with federal and state criminal matters and civil litigation. There, she served on a trial team that obtained a full acquittal for a client charged with official misconduct in New Jersey Superior Court. Samantha is a former law clerk to the Honorable Stuart Rabner, Supreme Court of New Jersey, and the Honorable Madeline Cox Arleo, United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Samantha earned her J.D., cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law and her B.A., summa cum laude, from Sacred Heart University. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York, as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
