Lynne Strober is the co-chair of the firm’s matrimonial and family law practice group, where she compassionately advises clients on matrimonial settlement agreements, equitable distribution, alimony, child support, child custody and parenting time, prenuptial agreements, post-judgment issues and adoptions. Lynne has been at the forefront of New Jersey’s family law practice for more than 40 years,

Lynne is a member of the board of managers of the New Jersey chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. She is also a board member and the former president of the Barry I. Croland Family Law American Inn of Court, which is dedicated to promoting the highest levels of professionalism. In addition, Lynne is a member of the executive committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Family Law Section, and a former president of the Section. In those roles, she has been instrumental in implementing New Jersey’s domestic violence laws, and in developing court rules that positively impacted the judiciary.

Earlier in her career, Lynne was appointed by the Chief Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court to serve as chair of the Supreme Court’s Matrimonial Certification Committee and as a member of the Supreme Court’s Board on Attorney Certification, where she oversaw the certification of New Jersey’s attorneys.

Among her numerous accolades, Lynne has been named to the most recent editions of Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers, in addition to receiving an AV preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, their highest level of peer-reviewed excellence. She also received the “Family Law Trailblazer” award from the National Law Journal. Additionally, she was the recipient of the Essex County Bar Association’s achievement award, for her commitment to promoting integrity, professionalism, advocacy and the fair administration of justice in family law.

From 1998 through 2010, Lynne served as Chair of the Supreme Court Matrimonial Certification Committee, and on the Supreme Court Board on Attorney Certification that oversees the statewide attorney certification process. She was appointed to this position by the Chief Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court.

Lynne was appointed and served for several years on the Supreme Court Family Division Practice Committee and the Supreme Court Civil Motions Practice Committee. She was appointed by the Supreme Court to serve as a member of the Domestic Violence Working Group (1992-1994 and 2002-2004 terms).

Lynne was appointed President of the 2015-2017 Barry Croland Family Law American Inn of Court. The Inn is an Association of legal professionals organized to enhance and improve the professional and ethical quality of the Family Law Practice in the community. The Inn provides programming designed to increase advocacy skills, collegiality and professionalism among its members.

She is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, New Jersey Chapter, and was the former Chair of the Family Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association (1992-1993), and the Essex County Bar Association Family Law Section Executive Committee (1988-1991).  She was a member of the NJSBA Family Law Section Executive Committee for more than two decades and has served as a member of the Essex County Family Law Section Executive Committee for more than 30 years.
