Mandelbaum Barrett PC attorney Jeffrey E. Grabelle recently secured a $185,000 workers’ compensation settlement for a client who suffered a serious hip injury after slipping and falling at work. The injury ultimately required a total hip replacement.

The settlement included a permanency award as well as reimbursement for significant out-of-pocket expenses. Jeffrey successfully obtained coverage for an assistive chair lift device and home health aide expenses that the workers’ compensation carrier had initially refused to reimburse.

This result helped ensure that the client was compensated not only for the permanent effects of the workplace injury, but also for important expenses associated with recovery and daily living.
