On the heels of their recent victory in a long-simmering trademark dispute in U.S. federal court in New York, Mandelbaum Barrett partners Joel MacMull and Brian Block secured an attorneys’ fees and costs award from the defendants/contemnors in the amount of $335,000. The court awarded nearly the entire amount sought by Mandelbaum to reimburse their client for enforcing a permanent trademark injunction.

The court’s decision went on to commend Joel and Brian explicitly, finding that they “skillfully briefed and argued the contempt motion.” The Court’s observation is a testament to the prowess of Mandelbaum’s Intellectual Property Practice Group and underscores the firm’s commitment to vigorous client representation in intellectual property cases.
