Mandelbaum litigators Joel MacMull and Brian Block scored a significant victory in the Southern District of New York last week in the latest installment of the “Patsy’s” trademark saga. The court agreed with our client’s position, found the opposing party and his trademark counsel in civil contempt, and sanctioned the opposing party $300,000 for an unprecedented third violation of the court’s injunction since it was entered in 2001.
The court’s decision last week comes on the heels of its 2021 decision wherein it found the opposing party and his former attorneys in contempt of the injunction. On behalf of their client, Joel and Brian have consistently and vigorously protected their client’s rights under the longstanding injunction in federal court.
