Mandelbaum Barrett PC Partners, Boris Peyzner and Jacqueline Greenberg Vogt, swiftly and successfully resolved a construction dispute on behalf of a fire suppression contractor arising out of defective design and construction claims by a project owner for whom the company had installed a fire alarm and suppression system in a large commercial building. The owner alleged that the defects required a complete reconstruction of the system to meet the building code and sought millions of dollars in damages. Boris and Jacky initially secured insurance coverage to pay for the company’s defense of the claims and then favorably settled the underlying dispute without the need for a full reconstruction of the system or a large out-of-pocket contribution from the company.
