Mandelbaum Barrett PC Partner Steven B. Steinmetz focuses his practice on commercial real estate, representing clients in acquisitions and sales, development projects, real estate financing, and architect and contractor agreements. He also has extensive experience in office, retail, and shopping center leasing, counseling property owners, developers, landlords, and tenants in complex transactional matters.
Steven additionally advises franchisees on the acquisition, leasing, financing, and operation of franchise businesses, bringing decades of commercial real estate and financing experience to support long-term franchise growth and success.
Steven received his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he served as Executive Editor of the Cardozo Arts & Entertainment Law Journal. He earned his B.A. (magna cum laude) from Yeshiva University. He was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 1985 and the New York Bar in 1992.
A leader in the legal community, Steven is a former President of the Fairfield County Bar Association and a member of the Real Estate Finance Association.
Steven is also active in his local community and served as President of Congregation Agudath Shalom in Stamford, Connecticut.
