With more than fifty years of legal experience, Ronald Davison helps families, fiduciaries, and beneficiaries navigate the challenges of estate, trust, and guardianship matters with clarity, precision, and thoughtful guidance.

Ronald L. Davison is a Partner in the Firm’s Elder Law Practice Group. With more than 50 years of experience, he advises and represents clients in estate, trust, and guardianship matters, including disputes involving wills, fiduciaries, and asset protection. His practice bridges elder law and litigation, bringing decades of courtroom experience to help families, fiduciaries, and beneficiaries resolve complex estate and trust issues with care and precision.

Throughout his career, Ronald has served as a court-appointed estate administrator, receiver, guardianship attorney, and attorney-trustee, giving him a deep understanding of the responsibilities and challenges faced by fiduciaries and families. He frequently lectures on topics related to will contests, trust and gift challenges, and business valuations in estate and family business disputes.

Dedicated to promoting fairness and integrity in the legal profession, Ronald has served for many years as a volunteer mediator on the Early Settlement Panels for the General Equity and Probate Parts of the Chancery Division of the Superior Court. He has been appointed by the New Jersey Supreme Court as Chair of both the District Ethics Committee and the District Fee Arbitration Committee. He is also an active member of the Essex County Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association

His representative matters include significant published and unpublished decisions involving estate and trust administration, guardianships, and fiduciary disputes, such as In the Matter of the Davi H. Kato Special Needs Trust (App. Div. 2024), Venant v. Venant (App. Div. 2023), and In the Estate of Wilson (App. Div. 2023).

Ronald earned his B.A. with high honors from Rutgers College in New Brunswick and his J.D. from Rutgers Law School in Newark. He is admitted to practice before the New Jersey State Courts and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey (both since 1971), the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York (1976), the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit (1982), and the U.S. Tax Court (2015).
