Matthew P. O’Malley guides clients through complex litigation involving insurance, professional liability, and workplace disputes, combining deep knowledge of New Jersey law with strategic, results-focused advocacy.

Matthew P. O’Malley is a Partner in Mandelbaum Barrett PC’s Litigation Practice Group, focusing on insurance coverage, professional liability defense, and workplace torts. He also serves as local counsel for national law firms, providing guidance on New Jersey practice and procedure in both state and federal courts, and helping clients navigate complex litigation with strategic insight. He has developed a reputation for thorough preparation, practical solutions, and skilled advocacy.

Matt is admitted to practice in New Jersey, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. He is an active member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, as a member of the Malpractice Insurance Committee, and has lectured for NJICLE and private client organizations.

Matt earned his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law – Newark, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Rutgers Law Review and received the Alumni Senior Prize for outstanding achievement and promise as a future member of the legal profession. He holds a B.A. cum laude from Drew University, where he was a Drew Scholar and a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha political science honor society.
