With more than 20 years of experience in numerous areas of litigation, Mandelbaum Barrett PC Of Counsel Matthew Fredericks represents businesses, property owners, and individuals focusing on commercial litigation, Chancery matters, small business disputes, real estate litigation, and landlord-tenant issues. He also has significant experience handling environmental and construction litigation, shareholder disputes, and administrative law matters.

Matt vigorously and has successfully advocated for clients at every stage of the litigation process, including bench and jury trials, arbitrations, mediations, administrative hearings, municipal court proceedings, and appeals before both New Jersey state and federal courts.

Before joining Mandelbaum Barrett PC, Matt founded his own private practice in West Orange, New Jersey, where he advised clients on complex legal matters and developed a reputation for practical, results-driven counsel. In recognition of his commitment to public service, he received the Legal Services of New Jersey Equal Justice Medal in 2019 for his pro bono legal work. He has also served as a guest speaker for North Jersey Legal Services, presenting on residential eviction issues.

Matt earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania and his Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey state and federal courts.

In 2014, he was included on the Super Lawyers “Rising Star” list.
