Katie Warren is a dedicated bankruptcy and financial services attorney who helps clients address financial challenges and achieve practical solutions in restructurings, workouts, and commercial lending matters.
Katie Warren is an Associate in the Firm’s Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights and Banking and Financial Services practice groups. She brings nearly a decade of paralegal experience in complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters to her practice, providing clients with practical insight into the operational realities of financial distress and reorganization.
Prior to earning her law degree, she gained extensive experience at well-known bankruptcy firms in Manhattan, supporting attorneys in Chapter 11 reorganizations, Subchapter V proceedings, and creditors’ committee representations across diverse industries. This work provided her with a comprehensive understanding of the bankruptcy process from multiple stakeholder perspectives, including exposure to plan negotiations, DIP financing, Section 363 asset sales, and creditors’ committee work.
At the firm, Katie assists lenders and borrowers in asset-based lending transactions, commercial real estate financing, workouts, and in-court and out-of-court insolvency proceedings. She supports the firm’s representation of regional banks, commercial finance companies, and borrowers in structuring and documenting loan transactions, assignees, and buyers in auction, as well as navigating distressed situations. Her background enables her to identify practical solutions and potential issues early in transactions, particularly in matters involving financially stressed companies.
Katie is admitted to practice in New Jersey, and she received her J.D. from Rutgers Law School, Magna Cum Laude. While at Rutgers, Katie served in the Special Education and Health Law Clinic, an area of practice that remains close to her heart. She earned her B.S. from Lehigh University.
