Jason is a dedicated family law attorney who guides clients through divorce, custody, and support matters with a strong understanding of both courtroom dynamics and client needs.

Jason E. Godino is an Associate in the Firm’s Matrimonial and Family Law Practice Group and is dedicated to representing clients in all aspects of family and matrimonial law, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, and equitable distribution.

He served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Bruce D. Buechler, J.S.C., in the Family Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey. During his clerkship, he gained extensive experience in family law by drafting judicial decisions on a variety of matters involving divorce, child custody, spousal support, and equitable distribution. His time with the court provided him with a well-rounded understanding of the judicial process and courtroom dynamics.

Jason also served as a Judicial Intern to Federal Magistrate Judge Daniel J. Stewart in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York, where he conducted legal research and observed federal proceedings.

Jason earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Albany Law School, where he was the 2023 and 2024 Diversity and Equity Scholar, a recipient of the Trustees’ Scholarship, and held leadership roles in several student organizations. He was also a semi-finalist in the Donna Jo Morse Negotiations Moot Court Competition. Jason received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in Psychology, from the University of Cincinnati, graduating with high departmental honors.

Jason is admitted to practice law in New Jersey. He is a member of the Young Lawyers Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Essex County Bar Association, and the Barry I. Croland Family Law Inn of Court.
