Michael is the Co-Chair of Mandelbaum Barrett PC’s Litigation group and focuses his practice on the areas of complex commercial litigation, shareholder disputes, restrictive covenant contracts and corporate counseling. He represents banks, national corporations, closely held companies and entrepreneurs, and has considerable experience in both seeking and opposing injunctive relief actions. He has obtained numerous multi-million-dollar verdicts.
As a seasoned trial attorney, Michael has litigated jury trials, bench trials and arbitration in diverse areas including contract actions, shareholder disputes, medical malpractice, adverse possession, palimony and bank fraud.
Michael serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Executive Committee for the Kessler Foundation, one of the largest not-for-profit research centers in the country. Michael is a member of The Litigation Counsel of America, a “by invitation only” organization of the top litigators in the United States.
Michael has been recognized every year since 2006 to the“Best Lawyers in America” list in commercial litigation as one of the top litigators in America. He has also been selected for inclusion in the New Jersey Super Lawyers Edition every year since 2009 for Business Litigation.

Cahill, a Member of that Department, obtained an award of $6.7 million in a complex commercial arbitration proceeding before the American Arbitration Association in New York City in which they represented an anesthesiology group that asserted numerous claims against a surgery center.
