Hosted by Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, this continuing education event will take place on Friday, October 10, 2025, at the NJDA Headquarters in North Brunswick. The program will offer 5 CE credits and provide both in-person and virtual learning options.

Attendees will explore key updates in CDT coding and insurance practices, with sessions designed to help dental professionals stay current on billing, compliance, and reimbursement strategies.

As part of the event, Dennis J. Alessi, Esq., Partner at Mandelbaum Barrett PC, will speak during Session 4: Expert Panel on Dental Benefits & Risk Management (2:30–3:30 PM). Dennis will discuss the essential types of professional liability insurance every dental practice owner should maintain, including coverage for the practice entity, associate dentists, and clinical staff. He will also highlight the importance of “look-back” coverage—particularly for pediatric dentists—and share practical strategies for mitigating the financial risks associated with malpractice claims.
