Shawna A. Brown, Partner in the Elder Law Practice Group at Mandelbaum Barrett PC, had the pleasure of speaking at a New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education program focused on trust and estate practice across New York and New Jersey.

The seminar explored the key differences between NY and NJ estate and inheritance tax regimes, administration procedures, and how those distinctions can significantly impact estate planning and administration for clients with ties to both states. Shawna and her fellow panelists also addressed fiduciary litigation practice in each jurisdiction, including court systems, procedural rules, discovery practices, and common trust and estate disputes such as will and trust contests, accounting proceedings, and construction matters.

Thank you to NJICLE for hosting an informative and practical program for trust and estate professionals navigating multi-state issues.
