The worker, who received a sick note from their doctor, got six weeks off work, and booked a holiday during this time says that their boss wasn’t happy about it, telling them that it looked like they did this “clearly out of spite” and they would receive a written warning. Dennis, who co-chairs the labor and employment department at Mandelbaum Barrett PC offered his 30 years if experience to help clarify this matter from a legal standpoint.
