WHEN: October 19 – 21, 2026
WHERE: DoubleTree by Hilton Mission Bay in San Diego

Joshua S. Bauchner, Chair of the Firm’s Cannabis, Hemp & Psychedelics practice, will serve as both a Track Chair and Session Chair at the 10th Annual National Cannabis Research Conference (NCRC), hosted by the Institute of Cannabis Research (ICR) in conjunction with the National Interdisciplinary Cannabis Symposium (NICS). The conference will take place October 19–21, 2026, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Mission Bay in San Diego.

Josh will lead two sessions within the “Regulations & Policy” track. The first session, “Paving a Path for Legal Psychedelics: Lessons from Cannabis Legalization” will provide a focused discussion on how lessons from decades of cannabis reform can inform current efforts to decriminalize psychedelics, including the role of litigation, policy advocacy, and evolving regulatory frameworks. The second session, “The Recent Crackdown on Illegal Cannabis Shops in NYC,” will explore New York’s crackdown on unlicensed cannabis retailers and the court decisions questioning whether some enforcement methods have exceeded constitutional and statutory limits.
